Now that I have completed my M. A. degree and my M.A. Thesis, I am
no longer doing any additional research on Gypsies, although I will
always have an interest in Gypsy culture. I will be happy to answer any
questions I can. I have a lot of sources not listed on this website
and will be glad to assist you locating a possible source. I hope you find
this web page useful in your own research.
I cannot vouch for the accuracy of the content of any of
the websites I have linked to. I have planned this page to be
informative as well as fun. Please enjoy!

Inglewood Cemetery, Inglewood, Los Angeles County, California. Mike &
Marie Guy, King & Queen of the Gypsies "Big" Mike" Guy
listed on the Find-a-Grave site.
NOTE: On Aug 7, 2001, I visited Inglewood Cemetery. There are many
Gypsy families buried here: GUY, LEE, ADAMS, UWANAWICH, STEVENS,
MITCHELL. The markers were elaborate and beautiful. They are all in
the LaRamada section and a few across the street facing that section.
Additional visits found more Gypsies buried in the Pinecrest section and
in a few other sections.
Cavalry Cemetery in Los Angeles County, CA. Lots of Gypsy burials
here, including George Adams and his wife Mary. George died in 1964 and
was the "King of the Gypsies" from Sacramento to Los Angeles. Lots of
beautiful headstones and family markers.
Woodland

John and Julia Marks were Gypsies who came to Kansas City from
Georgia. They were arrested for defrauding the public and each sentenced
to fifty years in federal prison. John Marks got sick in prison and was
released to die in the 1980's. Julia died in prison in 1995. This
beautiful double bottom marble crypt was brought in from Spain at a cost
of over fifty thousand dollars back in 1982. He was buried on the bottom
and she is buried on top. Legend has it that when Julia died the family
members threw in 30,000 dollars in cash, so they could live in the
afterlife as they had lived in life. The items on top of the crypt were
left by family member so they could enjoy their favorite soft drink and
smoke there favorite cigarettes.
